Overview

Berlin is rapidly becoming the new technology hub of Europe.  The German capital’s thriving tech scene offers an array of wonders, which create a truly unique travel experience for computer science students.

Combined with some of Berlin’s most inspiring cultural sites, our itinerary provides an exciting experience that your students will never forget!

Our Suggested Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Flight to Berlin and transfer to accommodation.

    Free evening in Alexanderplatz, the site of a massive demonstration against the GDR in 1989.

    Optional evening activity: Take in panoramic views of the city from the top of the Berlin TV Tower, the flagship of East German architecture!

  2. Day 2

    Visit the Deutsches Technikmuseum.  This hands-on, activity-oriented, fun tour of the cultural history of technology located at the Anhalter freight station is one of Berlin’s former rail depots.

    Free time at Potsdamer Platz – an empty wasteland to a popular shopping district, this area is the heart of the city!

    Experience the latest in virtual reality and relive the games of your youth or your parents' youth at the Computerspielemuseum.

    Admire the murals of the Berlin Wall East Side Gallery, a section of the original wall preserved and painted as an "International Memorial for Freedom" by protest artists.

  3. Day 3

    Join a guided tour of the Berlin Olympic Stadium and former Reichssportfeld, originally built as a Nazi propaganda project for the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

    Visit the Futurium, an exhibition displaying the endless possibilities of the future. Human, nature, and technology advances are all considered in this interactive and engaging space. 

    Round off your trip with a group photo in front of the city's most famous landmark - the Brandenburg Gate!

    Return flight home.

Accommodation

We use safe and secure accommodation especially suited to schools.  A lot of our schools choose to stay at either Hotel Citylight or one of the A&O Hostels when visiting Berlin.  All accommodation we use is audited, and our auditing regime is verified by independent experts.
