About Plitvice Lakes National Park
All key sights in Croatia are easily accessible from Opatija. A particular highlight is the Plitvice Lakes National Park with 16 crystalline lakes tumbling into each other via a series of waterfalls and cascades. The mineral-rich waters carve through the rock, depositing tufa in continually changing formations. Clouds of butterflies drift above the 18km of wooden footbridges and pathways which snake around the edges and under and across the rumbling water.
All in all, an outstanding destination for a school trip!

"The Hotel was awesome. Slightly dated but perfect for a school group. The staff were really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We were all roomed closed together so we had section of the hotel which made it much easier as a group leader. The food was buffet style which meant there was ample choice for the fussy eaters in the group! The food was great and a balanced offering of healthy choices."
