School Trips to The Lake District

World-famous for its beautiful lakes and mountainous fells, carved out long ago by glaciers, the Lake District is a fantastic destination for primary and secondary school tours.

About The Lake District

Located in the heart of Cumbria, there are plenty of activities for students whatever the weather.  You can take part in action-packed activities at Brockhole Visitor Centre, travel on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite railway or even enjoy a boat trip across Lake Windemere - the largest natural lake in not just the Lake District but all of England!

Although a particularly popular destination for Geography students, there is also lots to offer English students.  Famous fans of the Lake District include writer and illustrator Beatrix Potter and poet William Wordsworth.
