Anne Frank is one of Amsterdam's most well-known residents. Your students can take part in an educational workshop at The Anne Frank House and will learn about Anne Frank, the Second World War and the persecution of the Jews.
Amsterdam wasn't the only place in the Netherlands to feel the effects of the Holocaust. Just an hour south of are the remains of Kamp Vught, the one of the only concentration camps outside of Germany to be controlled by the SS. Today, Kamp Vught stands as a national monument listing the names of the people who died there.
