Québec's Winter Wonderland!

Overview

Québec's French-English roots make it an exciting and unique destination for pupils wanting to practice their French outside Europe. 

When winter comes, the region's snow-capped landscapes light up in the cold temperatures, so be ready to experience this magical season! Stay in Québec City and get a real feel for Québec's vibrant Francophone culture. Your group can brush up on the local Quebecoise French while they discover the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 

Venture outside the city and visit the surrounding villages, take part in winter activities and visit the spectacular Montmorency Falls, higher than Niagara Falls! 

Our Suggested Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Flight from UK to Montreal.

    Private coach transfer to Quebec City. 

    Settle into your accommodation, get excited for the busy days ahead!

  2. Day 2

    Start your day with a guided tour of the Château Frontenac, the prestigious and iconic hotel in Québec City. 

    After, explore Old Québec with some free time. Experience the city's history, culture and architecture as you wander through its cobblestone streets. 

    In the afternoon, it's time to for a guided tour around Québec's famous Université Laval, founded in 1663!

    Finish your day by sampling some local cuisine at the Grand Marché before watching an ice hockey game!

  3. Day 3

    Today starts with an excursion to the spectacular Montmorency Falls, higher than Niagara Falls! 

    Then, head to the Parlement du Québec for a guided tour; learn more about Québec's political heritage in the heart of the region's democracy centre. 

    End this busy day by visiting the Observatoire de la Capitale to admire the city from its highest summit. 

     

  4. Day 4

    In the morning, head out of the city and take part in winter activities in Valcartier! Visit the Hôtel de Glace, an ice hotel built from scratch every year! 

    In the afternoon, spend your afternoon at the Winter Playground, with a variety of activities including ice skating and ice sliding- there is something for everyone!

    Spend your evening strolling the beautiful and colourful streets of Petit Champlain. 

  5. Day 5

    Start your day with a visit to the Musée des Plaines d'Abraham, a museum displaying artefacts showing the military history between the French and English. 

    Then, pay a visit to the Citadelle de Québec, the largest British fortress built in North America! 

    Continue your day by heading to Duchesnay and enjoy a peaceful walk through nature on a Promenade en Raquettes. 

    End your day admiring the scenic river views as you stroll along the Dufferin Terrace. 

  6. Day 6

    Spend some time exploring the Laurier Québec Shopping Centre, the perfect opportunity to pick up some souvenirs before flying home!

    Private coach transfer to Montréal airport. 

    Overnight flight home to UK. 

  7. Day 7

    Arrive home.

Our groups usually stay at Auberge Internationale de Québec, a 2* hotel located in the centre of Québec.
