Diverse Andalucía
Overview
Our Diverse Andalucía itinerary includes visits to the major cities Sevilla and Granada with half a day in Córdoba, too. As the home of bullfighting and flamenco, Andalucía is perfect for those seeking a real authentic Spanish experience.
Andalucía’s capital city, Seville, may be the largest city in the region but it is very pedestrian-friendly, making it easy and safe for your students to explore. You will find history around every corner and along every narrow, cobbled street. If architecture is what you are after, Seville has a lot to offer! From the 1401 cathedral to Metropol Parasol built across three phases in 2006, 2010, and 2011, you won’t be disappointed.
Cordoba was once Western Europe’s biggest city and the centre for sophistication and culture. Amongst secluded squares, winding streets, potted plants, and luscious patios, you will find examples of Cordoba’s Jewish history. The stunning Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba, a beautiful building in itself, is arguably one of the most significant Islamic monuments in Cordoba, if not the Western Muslim world.
Granada, situated at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, is a vibrant city lined with narrow, cobbled streets which sits beneath the gaze of the magnificent Alhambra. Granada boasts its own share of compelling history and glorious architecture – not to mention the tapas!
Our Diverse Andalucía itinerary can be combined with visits to Málaga too – have a look at our Málaga: Art & Culture itinerary to see what you could visit there!
