WW1 Battlefields Day Trip to Ypres
Overview
Our itinerary is packed full of an excellent selection of visits that will give students a deeper emotional connection with the events that took place during the war. This day trip includes a guided tour of the Ypres Salient Battlefields, where you will visit different cemeteries like Tyne Cot British Cemetery (the largest Commonwealth cemetery on the Western Front), and Langemark German Cemetery where 25,000 German soldiers are buried in a single mass grave. This will allow students the opportunity to compare and contrast the different experiences of soldiers from both sides
To finish off the day, your group will take part in the moving Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate, the largest and most important of the British Memorials to the Missing.
