Overview

Yorkshire is home to some of the UK and Europe's best art galleries and sculpture parks which make it a perfect destination for Art and Design students.  The Yorkshire Sculpture Triangle allows students to discover hundreds of iconic original artworks across four fantastic venues - The Hepworth Wakefield, The Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Leeds Art Gallery and the Henry Moore Institute. 

Our tours allow groups to take part in interactive workshops and artist-led sessions, and can be done as a day trip, or as an overnight tour to include all four venues.

Our Suggested Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Morning
    Travel to Wakefield for a visit to The Hepworth, described as one of the finest contemporary art museums in Europe.  Enjoy an interative workshop with one of the Creative Practitioners. 

    Afternoon
    Explore open-air displays by some of the world’s finest artists with an artist-led session at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.  

    Evening 
    Transfer to accommodation. 

    Optional extra - enjoy a restaurant meal in York’s historic city centre!

  2. Day 2

    Morning 
    Visit to the Leeds Art Gallery, home to the one of the most outstanding collections of modern British art outside of London. 

    Afternoon
    Enjoy a guided tour of the Henry Moore Institute in Leeds, an award-winning exhibitions venue, research centre, library and sculpture archive.

    Evening
    Journey home. 

Safestay York

Accommodation

Our Yorkshire Sculpture Triangle trip can be done as a day trip, or overnight.  When our schools stay overnight, they tend to stay at either Safestay York or the YHA york.  All accommodation we use is audited, and our auditing regime is verified by independent experts.
